SPRING
RECITAL

BEYOND THE PHYSICAL BENEFITS, JLDC RECITALS DEVELOP
POISE AND SELF-CONFIDENCE, VITAL TO EACH CHILD’S
CREATIVE AND PERSONAL GROWTH

ANNUAL SPRING RECITAL

In the spring, JLDC puts together short, varied, and exciting, family-friendly recitals which showcase students’ choreography. We believe that training and performing in a dance recital builds confidence and teaches children to work toward a goal and this achievement of goals is something that is useful throughout one’s life. JLDC is an amazing place for students to learn to dance while working as a team, making friends, and creating memories of dance recitals that hold a special place in their hearts. Parents recognize recitals as important outlets and it’s their support that allows this success for their child.

Once in New York Meli began to seek out other opportunities in dance genres conducive to her changing body and mindset which led her to study ballet and modern in New York City with David Howard and Finis Jung.

While a dance major at U. Mass Amherst under Andrea Watkins, Meli received her BFA with honors in Dance Technique and Theory. Meli was an instructor in the Dance Dept. of Harvard University for 3 years.
