At JLDC, we talk a lot about technique, performance opportunities, and artistry and all of that matters. But none of it means much if a child doesn’t feel safe, supported, and genuinely happy to be in the room. It is strong training. Here’s why it matters so much, and what it actually looks like at JLDC.
At JLDC, we strongly believe that all children deserve the opportunity to experience this regardless of ability. This belief was the catalyst that brought forward the creation of One Rhythm, a new adaptive dance program designed to offer dance classes to children with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities.
For the seniors of JLDC, this final season holds a special kind of meaning. Every performance, competition, event, and even the ordinary day-to-day moments in the studio suddenly feel more sentimental. These dancers have spent years learning, growing, and creating unforgettable memories together, and now, as graduation approaches, they are reflecting on the experiences that shaped their journey.
