The goal of Playdance (ages 2.0 - 4.0 years) is to foster a love of music and movement in your child. Using a large open dance space, a variety of music and song, along with several movement tools, the program is designed to be fun and to develop classroom readiness. Imaginary journeys, improvisation and theater games will encourage self-expression and creativitiy. The concept of Playdance was created to ensure that young children do not begin formal training too early, yet are encouraged to explore as many ways of moving as their imaginations will allow. Class includes rest-time where children will hear a story and have juice.
Dancin' with Mommy (18 months –2.5 years.) is your child's first movement class. Set to upbeat, whimsical music, Dancin' with Mommy is a wonderful way to introduce your child to movement. With the support of a parent or caregiver, using movement tools such as scarves, balls, hoops and musical instrumnets children will learn to develop self-expression and creativity. This class is geared to the child who wants to dance, but who is not yet ready to separate.
